Dr. Craig Baker established Baker Family & Cosmetic Dentistry of Safety Harbor in 2009. A University of Florida graduate (BS and DMD), Dr. Baker focuses his practice on advanced dental implants, aesthetic dentistry, smile makeovers, and complex restorative cases involving occlusion and the bite. He lives in Safety Harbor with his wife Dr. Cecilia Perera, their son, and Noel — the family dog who joined them on Christmas Day. Outside the office you'll find Dr. Baker firing up the grill, cheering at his son's baseball games, riding with the local cycling scene, or sitting down to his favorite home-cooked meal: Dr. Perera's salt-baked chicken. He's an avid UF athletics fan and a regular at Safety Harbor's restaurant scene. If he hadn't become a dentist, he says he'd have been a veterinarian — caring for animals the same way he cares for his patients.

Dr. Cecilia Perera is a board-certified periodontist and implantologist and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology. Born in New Orleans and raised in Venezuela, Dr. Perera completed her dental training at Santa Maria University in Caracas, then earned her Master of Science in Periodontics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She speaks fluent English and Spanish and leads the implant and periodontal program at Baker Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. She lives in Safety Harbor with her husband Dr. Craig Baker and their school-age son — and volunteers regularly at his school. Outside the practice, Dr. Perera is passionate about flamenco and Latin dance, and her favorite meals are traditional Spanish cuisine and a good piece of sushi. If she hadn't become a periodontist, she says she would have pursued plastic surgery — drawn to the same blend of precision, aesthetics, and restorative impact she brings to dental work every day.
